2007-10-24 by jack eckersley	A Bit Dated Now, But It Will Be Looked Back On As A Gaming Legend There is two PS2s in my house. 1 in my bedroom, 1 in my brothers. We both play them regularily. I hope to get a new Xbox 360 soon, but I will still play my PS2. It has history. I can't think of a more legendary console. It was stunning back then. The graphics were ahead of it's time, the games were amaxing, and everyone owned 1 (and most people still do). There was games like Fifa and Call of Duty for the serious gamer and mess around games like Guitar Hero and Buzz for the less serious, less mature or home-partying audience. This console is a legend.
2007-10-03 by marie byrne	ucansave2 ps2 No longer made and the ps2 was over 6yrs old sony informed me.They have not made this model for some time so be careful.
2006-05-22 by Wasted Life	That's Just How It Is So, this is how it is. Many people have noticed that their PS2 blacks have been messing up -- some won't play games, while others hesitate when doing so. I have this problem. I have had my PS2 for two-three years, and the problem is that the laser lens is a cheap off-brand. Many people might have noticed the "rollback" on this Playstation model, this is because they removed "unneccesary" parts to decrease the bulk. They decreased the quality of the laser, handicapping this console very much so. I am apprehensive to by a PS2 Slim for this same reason. I had to take apart my PS2, clean the lens, and reassemble it to get it working again, and its further failing causes me to have to do a Console Diagnosis to run Final Fantasy VII, and FFX suffers in the battles, because the lens isn't reading correctly. God of War was a struggle for a while because the lens wouldn't recognize the format of the "gold-tinted" disk. Sony is giving us crap. Sorry, folks, that's just how it is.
