2008-10-04 by RONALD HEWEY	My Macbook I bought my MacBook, 2.4 GHz Core Duo, 2GB Ram, and I haven't looked back since. I've found, buying office for mac was the easiest thing to do, as I know it. I love it - learning to work the mac way was strange at first, but I've got used to it. There should be more software for Mac, but then the more there is the more junk you end up with, and the more problems you have. A PC, a Mac is not, I've learnt to live with less so called utility software, and it works! I make full use of the wireless capabilities of my Mac, and everything just works, printing, network etc. My mobile phone, contacts easily synchronizes to my address book, so I'm not fussed if I leave the phone on the tube! Apple's own "I" software is great too, that website you wanted, the photo's, making movies - great, you can express your creative side using your Mac, and not have to worry about your laptop freezing or mysterious memory problems. The best bit is, if you have a problem or stuck trying to something, You can easily talk to someone in Apple, using an O800 number. Fantastic!

I brought an new design imac a few months back because my pc needed changing and i was blown away by the quality, performance and how easy to use it was, so when i was in the market for a new laptop, a macbook seemed the obvious choice. Wow, what i fantastic bit of kit, i brought the 2.4ghz model and i love it. My PC days are well and truly behind me - it's mac all the way for me now
2008-03-27 by Brian Burchell	IBM Compat MS versus Apple Macbook After more than 27 years playing and working with IBM Compat / MS products decided to try Apple for a change. Used my inheritance to purchase an Apple MacBook 13" screen 1MB RAM 2GHz Intel core 2 duo processor 80 GB Hard drive with OS 10.4 Tiger. It was different to what I am used to. A couple of gripes - my 2 printers were not compatible with this system - I bought an Epson DX 8400 for Ł50 - works almost perfectly may be down to my inexperience. My wireless hub demanded a $ in front of Key to make it work. Took a while to find that info out. Installing and setting up OpenOffice free software a bit complicated. It was necessary to install and setup X11 before open office would work. That all said I bought it brand new from Currys for less than Ł550. I have had it for a little over a month. I am pleased I made the purchase. It really works well with my photographs. The sound and picture quality is excellent. The DVD player is really good. The machine is light easy to use and very reliable. Not figured out how to do video conferencing without subscibing to .Mac yet? Marvelous machine to work with, I can thoroughly recommend it.
