Banish the Bag

We have been co-ordinating a campaign to make Helston, our local town, plastic bag free. There are 14 of us holding meetings, selling alternative bags and getting plenty of press coverage. We are aiming to be the first town in Cornwall to go plastic bag free.
With financial help we could make Cornwall the first County in the UK to go plastic bag free.

Management of 40Hectares of Historic Groves

A long term project to improve the age diversity of Crenver Grove, make it available for children of all ages to reconnect with nature and learn about their surroundings. Low key management with nature and art as high priorities.

Established for 6 years we are run by volunteers, although some individual projects are funded to cover expenses or pay for experts and training. See our website for details of our work with coir
spinners in post tsunami Sri Lanka. We are currently working on the purchase of a ruined historic monument set in 5 acres of land for the community.
