Agustinho Menete allows VETAID to use his land in Inhambane, Mozambique as a demonstration farm: “Thanks to the technical assistance of the VETAID team, I feel that in the future I, as well as my community, will grow financially.”
Local people are given training in safe and hygienic food preparation and storage. They are also shown how to preserve foods so that they have a more reliable food source across the year.
VETAID trains farmers in ploughing techniques which maximise the use of animal power to help reduce the time taken to plough a piece of land.
