Current Projects
AfSL works to help local people through social and environmental change.
We implement this working with people on topics ranging through local food and fair-trade to transport and sustainable energy and beyond.
By working with people in their own communities in a supportive and non-prescriptive way we help them to recognise the part that they are already playing in bringing about change and in setting new
targets for themselves by using our 'small steps' approach.
AfSL thrives on the hard-work, knowledge and commitment of our small and dynamic team of paid staff and of an ever-growing number of fantastic volunteers. We have worked successfully with
individuals, groups, schools, colleges, universities as well as local businesses . We are currently working on a number of initiatives and supporting various local action groups to run their own
projects, some of which are aiming to develop themselves as self-sustaining social enterprises.
More and more of our consultancy work is being supported by local people and volunteers and we believe that a sustainable world can be brought about if we all do our own little bit.
